The Vision

Foundation
The World changes, but God does not change. Our techniques and venues for communication changes, but God does not change. The traditions and theology of man sometimes fails and changes, but God does not change.
Purpose
The Vision of BlueJeanTheology is to be able to share Christ’s word in a meaningful way, using today’s technology. The plan is to use online media to communicate with individuals using today’s tools. We desire to be practical in our approach of sharing the Word. We want to bring together Men and Women of God with a heart to learn and share.
Direction
God is alive and has not changed; but the altered and evolving World-View has continued to find it’s way into the Christian culture. It has allowed varied interpretations of scripture to make people feel warm, happy and entertained; without really challenging us. Christ is passionate about going after our hearts, there’s a battle for that ground and thus the Christian walk is not always easy.
There are lyrics from Casting Crown’s song “What This World Needs” that relays’ this message well:
People aren’t confused by the gospel,
They’re confused by us.
Jesus is the only way to God,
But we are not the only way to Jesus.
This world doesn’t need
My tie, my hoodie,
My denomination, or my translation of the Bible,
They just need Jesus.
We can be passionate about what we believe,
But we can’t strap ourselves to the gospels.
Because we’re slowing it down
Jesus is going to save the world,
But maybe the best thing we can do
Is just get out of the way.
This scripture encompasses our desire to seek God in the place where He chooses as a central location. The gift of Christ isn’t limited to an individual group; but for whomever He chooses. The emerging generation of believers desire to answer call of Christ. Christ is fighting for our hearts. He is passionate to the point of death. My desire is to answer that passion and allow Him to dwell where He wishes!
Why “BlueJean” Theology
Around about the creation of this site, I was passionate about appearance. I would say things like “If you’d dress well for the president, why don’t you dress well to meet God on Sunday?” This BIG issue with that is that God didn’t meet me on Sunday. He’s always been there and in my troubled times, while wearing old blue jeans on my knees crying out for Him, He’s been there. We dress for the President because He’s a man who first see’s our outward appearance, God could care less about our outward appearance, unless it’s intended to cause others to sin. I want to be approachable and if it means wearing blue jeans, than the suits are out…
